The Internet Developer / Technology Group is about enhancing the Internet to empower all users. We do not need a lot of information about individuals visiting or using this site to do this. At times it is useful to use aggregated information to demonstrate our usefulness, but information is not retained on specific visitors or individual subscribers to our several mail lists. Therefore we adhere to the following prinicples and practices regarding your participation or viewing of information on this site:

• Although we collect the basic log statistics from web accesses, we are not utilizing cookies or specialized cgi scripts to determine viewing patterns.

• The Internet Developer / Technology Group is host to several mail lists which operated under these rules:
  • Your email address will never be sold or given to another organization by the Internet Developer / Technology Group. We expect that our volunteer List Owners, who are the only other parties with knowledge that you participate on any of our lists, will abide by the same policy. For your protection, the list names are not generally available, even to other list subscribers.
  • Only list subscribers may post to lists.
  • E-mail messages posted to any list in the Internet Developer / Technology Domain will be archived for at least a year and possibly longer.
  • Some of the lists only allow the list-owner to post messages. If you reply to one of these lists, your message is only forwarded to the list owner.

• No information about individual participants in the Internet Developer / Technology Group is made available to people outside of the Group.
