Spam Prevention as an
Economics Exercise
- Assume 500 spammers, 5,000,000 victims.
- Assume 1 minute of research and reaction time, per spam, to combat a spam's source.
- Assume 1% of victims spend this minute on any given spam.
- 50,000 minutes of effort are spend per spam
- The 50,000 "workers" will probably be spammed again from the same source.
- Spammers: 1, victims: 0.
